Monticello, NY — Monticello Raceway race secretary Eric Warner announced Friday (July 30) that, effective Monday (Aug. 2), purses will be increased 15 percent across the board at the New York facility.

According to Warner, “With the new purse increase, the Open Trot, Open Pace, and Fillies and Mares Open will race for $7,700. We are hopeful that, with the increase, we will be able to attract more outside horses, and it also helps our faithful horsemen who are stabled on the grounds.”
