At the Kolgjini Sale in Sweden Monday night (July 25), offspring of Muscle Hill were in high demand. The five most expensive yearlings sold at the sale were by him and the average price for the 10 Muscle Hill yearlings sold at the sale was $144,700.
The sales topper was a colt, Forfantone AM, out of the Cantab Hall mare Tamla Celeber, who sold for $311,000 to trainer Roger Walmann on behalf of his biggest owner, Lennart Aagren.
Tamla Celeber took a mark of 1:53 and won 23 races from 44 starts. Among her victories was the Breeders Crown in Canada, driven by Brian Sears, and in Sweden she won races like the E3, The Swedish Oaks, Stochampionat, and European Championship for mares. She was trained by Roger Walmann.
A winning bid of $276,000 was the second highest price, fetched by a colt named Rudisha out of Moonlight Kronos — a full sister to Going Kronos 1:52.2f and Lantern Kronos 1:52.3, the latter the dam of The Bank (by Donato Hanover).
The average price at the sale was $56,600.
