Nevada Standardbred Association joins Harness Horsemen International

Las Vegas, NV — The Nevada Standardbred Association Inc. has recently been accepted as an associate member of Harness Horsemen International.

The HHI provides advice, consultation and support, as well as promotes public awareness for member associations. Additionally, HHI provides valuable knowledge for harness racing professionals to government bodies and much more. The HHI strives to promote and uphold the highest standards of integrity of the industry.

As an associate member, the NVSA also strives to demonstrate industry integrity as we grow the industry in Nevada. The NVSA will utilize HHI to assist in upgrading regulations in Nevada in order to address Standardbred industry requirements.

Having reached this milestone, the NVSA and its members continue preparing for the 2020 breeding/foaling season, as well as training center and racino projects.

The Laughlin project is presently in the concept design stage for a track, training center and breeding center, and is preparing for presentation to the commission later this year.

The NVSA is a Nevada not-for-profit corporation that promotes and supports harness racing, as well as Standardbred breeding and development programs, in Nevada. The NVSA assists racetrack start-ups and represents members in negotiations. The NVSA recommends rule changes and regulations and cooperates with other Standardbred associations. The NVSA also consults with higher education to increase equine care, training, and awareness within the state.
