Hamburg, NY — Have you thought about owning a Standardbred racehorse? Buffalo Raceway and the Harness Horse Breeders of New York State are presenting a seminar on Saturday, July 19, at Buffalo Raceway for prospective new horse owners.

The event, co-sponsored by Hanover Shoe Farms and the USTA, will begin at 1:00 p.m. in Buffalo Raceway’s Clubhouse and conclude before the live racing card at 6:30 p.m.

Topics include costs, risk and rewards, tax issues and choosing a trainer. A tour of the racetrack will also take place.

Advance registration is requested. Participants will receive a meal, a one year subscription to Hoof Beats magazine, a credit for USTA’s online database, PATHWAY, a program, and a t-shirt.

Located on The Fairgrounds in Hamburg, N.Y., Buffalo Raceway offers live harness racing on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday through July 26. Simulcast wagering is available year round.
