New post time at Batavia Downs Gaming

Batavia, NY — Officials at Batavia Downs Gaming have announced that beginning on Wednesday night, September 26, first race post time will move up 30 minutes to 7:05 p.m. for the remainder of the 2007 racing season.

According to Michael D. Kane, Vice President of Gaming and Racing at America’s oldest lighted harness track, “the change was made to better service our customers. The time change conforms with our new gaming hours and should provide benefits to our on-track and simulcast handle.”

Batavia Downs is currently racing every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night.

Day/night doubleheaders will be held on November 10 and 17, and December 1. Afternoon post time will remain at 1:15 p.m. The 61st racing season at the Downs will conclude on December 1.

In addition to live harness racing, Batavia Downs Gaming offers the best of simulcast action on Wednesday through Sunday, fine food in the clubhouse and video gaming. The gaming floor, which features 591 video gaming terminals, is open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight on Sunday through Thursday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
