New York Development Fund seeks feedback

Albany, NY — The Agriculture & New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund has announced three public listening sessions to solicit feedback regarding the continued success of Standardbred racing in New York. Governor Kathy Hochul directed the Fund “to review the program and provide … any recommended changes.”

Beginning in March, the Fund is inviting Standardbred industry stakeholders and interested members of the public to attend the sessions and provide input that will help guide decisions for the overall success of the program.

The public listening sessions are being held as follows:

• March 16: 1–4 p.m. at the Harness Racing Hall of Fame and Museum, Goshen, N.Y.
• March 23: 1–4 p.m. at Vernon Downs Casino & Hotel, Vernon, N.Y.
• March 30: 11 a.m.–2 p.m. at Saratoga Casino Hotel, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

The sessions are free and open to the public. Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP within 24 hours of a session by emailing info@nysirestakes.com. Those looking to submit materials for discussion should also contact the above email address as soon as possible.
