Saturday’s program offers 12 action-packed races including the main event in race eight (purse of $28,000) that boasts the likes of Northville Downs’ all-time pacing track record holder Southwind Amazon (1:52), who nabbed career win 119 last week over the Northville; and two other track record holders in Princess Rockette, who set the Northville Downs older mare pacing record on April 30 in 1:54; and Top Notch, who set the still-standing 4-year-old gelding pacing record back in 2018 in 1:52.2.

In addition, Techia Lohmann’s Lying In Cash (trained by Scott Galloway) will throw his hooves in the ring following a string of Open wins this meet and finishing a fast closing second to Southwind Amazon last week.

With temperatures forecast to be in the 90s Saturday, the potential is there for more track records to fall. First race post time for Saturday is 7:30 p.m.

After this weekend, Northville Downs will resume live racing on Friday (Sept. 9) and will resume the regular Friday and Saturday night schedule with post time 7:30 p.m. each race night through Dec. 17.
