Grove City, OH — Ohio horsemen’s informational meetings will be held regarding the EHV-1 issues statewide update. Topics will include status of EHV-1 case horses and quarantine in Ohio, movement limitations, proper biosecurity measures and disinfecting protocol.
The first of several meetings in regards to EHV-1 will be held Friday (Feb. 9) at the Warren County Fairgrounds (Lebanon) Building A (old race office) at 11 a.m. Present will be representatives from Woodland Run Veterinary Clinic, as well as Dr. Heather Plum and Dr. Scott McQuinn.
A second meeting will be held at the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association (OHHA) offices in Grove City, Ohio, at 1 p.m. at 2237 Sonora Drive on Friday (Feb. 9). Present will be Dr. F. John Reichert from Woodland Run Veterinary Clinic.
A third meeting will be held on Tuesday (Feb. 13) at Spennato’s Restaurant at 1:30 p.m. at 10446 Northfield Road, Northfield, Ohio, 43123. Present will be representatives from Lake Equine Associates and Dr. Dan Wilson.
A fourth meeting will have a date and location to be determined in the Hicksville area involving the Northwest Ohio Horsemen. Present will be Dr. Jason Kessen from the Kessen Veterinary Clinic.
