Delaware, OH — Four divisions of the $145,184 Ohio Breeders Championship for freshman pacing colts were held on Thursday (Sept. 21) as part of the Little Brown Jug Day undercard at the Delaware County Fair.
Three $36,296 divisions were won by trainer Brian Brown — Rock On Creek (Chris Page), Dragonology (David Miller) and Slick Mick (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.). The final division was won by Born To Be Bad (Andy Miller).
The $113,385 sophomore colt OBC paces were won by Scotch McEwan (Josh Sutton), Camwood (Kayne Kauffman) and Barnabas (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.). Camwood paid $50.00 to win.
A pair of $53,543 3-year-old filly OBC paces were won by Berazzled (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.) and Rosa’s Touch (Matt Kakaley).
The $11,500 OBC for older pacers went to Miss Me Yet (Montrell Teague) in 1:52.1. The mare has won three straight OBC races.
Trainer Brian Brown won five races on the 22-race card.

Shake It Off Lindy led from start to finish to win Thursday’s (Sept. 21) $105,125 Old Oaken Bucket for 3-year-old male trotters in a lifetime-best 1:54 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds. Andy M was second and Moonshiner Hanover was third.

Coming off a world-record performance in her previous race, Emoticon Hanover just missed adding her name to the record book again. Emoticon Hanover won Thursday’s (Sept. 21) $120,500 Miss Versatility Series championship for older female trotters in 1:52 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds. The time was one-fifth of a second shy of Maven’s world record of 1:51.4 for a female trotter on a half-mile track, set in the 2013 Miss Versatility.
- Keystone Apache captures Standardbred male trot (Thursday, September 21, 2017)
Keystone Apache went three wide heading to the final turn, passed leader M S Triple J, and then held off Can’t Afford It in the stretch to win Thursday’s (Sept. 21) $52,200 Standardbred Stakes for 2-year-old male trotters by a neck in 1:56.2 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.
- Filibuster Hanover wins Little Brown Jug (Thursday, September 21, 2017)
Filibuster Hanover won the 72nd Little Brown Jug, presented by the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association, by a length over Funknwaffles in 1:50 on Thursday at the Delaware County Fairgrounds. The victory gave the tandem of driver Yannick Gingras and trainer Ron Burke its second Jug three years after winning with Limelight Beach. Miso Fast was third and Fear The Dragon was fourth.
