Delaware, OH — Seventeen 3-year-old colt trotters competed inthe $94,334 Ohio Breeders Championship on Wednesday (Sept. 20) at Delaware.
Trainer Chris Beaver swept the two divisions with Buckeye Boss(Aaron Merriman) in the first division and Fraser Ridge (Ronnie Wrenn, Jr.) inthe second.
Fraser Ridge established a national season’s record of 1:55 in thesecond $47,167 division with a 4-1/2 length win over Full Surge (Mike Wilder).
Fraser Ridge has won three in a row for Donald Robinson, RobertMondillo, Beaver and RBH Ventures.
Buckeye Boss took the second division in 1:55.3 over Jailhouse Sam(Hugh Beatty) and Dejarover (David Miller).
The winner is owned by Beaver, Marion Beachy and Synerco Ventures.
Three divisions of the $130,000 OBCs for freshman pacing fillieswere held with Prsntpretynperfect taking the fastest division in 1:54.3.
Prsntpretynperfect (Kayne Kauffman) overcame post seven and wasable to sit behind the leading Princess Rougarou (Yannick Gingras) until thefinal turn and sprinted clear to score by three lengths.
The daughter of Big Bad John has now won six of seven starts thisseason for owners Jennifer Brown, Richard Lombardo and Joshua Green and trainerBrian Brown.
Baron Remy (Chris Page) won the second $43,333 division in 1:54.4.

Pearl Crush (Ryan Stahl) took the first division over Shadows OnTime (Ronnie Wrenn, Jr.) and Delicate Arch (Yannick Gingras) in a lifetime best1:55.3.

Two-year-old filly trotters competed in a pair of divisions of the$113,400 (div) Ohio Breeders Championships.
The first division featured a classic stretch duel between LookingFor Zelda (Tony Hall) and Risky Deal (David Miller). The Break The Bank Kfillies were nose-to-nose through the lane with Risky Deal getting the lastcall in a lifetime best 1:57.

To Russia (Ryan Stahl) used a final turn move to win the second$56,700 division in 1:58.2
over Red Storm (AaronMerriman) and She’s Got Pizazz (Brett Miller).

The $12,900 OBC for aged trotters went to A Tc Queenie (Dan Noble)in 1:54.3.
The 4-year-old Triumphant Caviar mare is owned by Trish Soulsbyand Richard Schault and trained by Ron Steck.

Cool Cates beat Satin Dancer to the front on the first turn and it proved decisive as she marched to a 1:56 win in Wednesday’s (Sept. 20) $80,575 Buckette Stakes for 3-year-old female trotters at the Delaware County Fairgrounds. Satin Dancer was second, beaten by one length, and Maewegonow was third.
