Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association offers scholarships

Grove City, OH — The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association will again be offering scholarship opportunities to OHHA members and their families.

Completed applications are due June 15.

Application and requirements are available on the OHHA website.

The scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors and/or students enrolled in degree or certificate programs. Graduate students are not eligible unless they are enrolled in a harness racing-specific graduate or professional level program and provide complete details regarding the harness racing-specific graduate or professional level program in conjunction with their application.

Scholarships will be awarded on academic merit and financial need and must be used towards the cost and expenses directly related to coursework and a degree being pursued at a college or university.

The announcement of 2020 OHHA scholarship recipients will be made Aug. 3.

The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association is a non-profit organization serving Standardbred horse owners, breeders, trainers, drivers and fans who participate in the sport of harness racing in the Buckeye State. OHHA was founded in 1953. The mission of the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association is to preserve, protect, promote and serve the entire Standardbred industry in Ohio and beyond.
