Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association to live stream Charity Night draw

Grove City, OH – The second annual Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association Charity Night at Hollywood Dayton Raceway is scheduled for Saturday (Nov. 19).

Twenty charities will participate in the event with each being paired with a horse. Each charity will receive a donation from the OHHA for participating, with the top three finishers receiving larger donations. First place will receive $10,000, second place will receive $5,000 and third place $3,000. All other finishers receive $2,000 donations.

The participating charities will find out which horse they are paired with during a live stream on the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association Facebook page on Friday (Nov. 18) at 11 a.m. Ten charities will be paired with the horses in race seven, while the others will be paired with the horses from race nine.

The participating charities are: 4 Paws for Ability, Artemis Center, Dayton Unit NAACP, Dayton VA Medical Center, Dayton Warrior Softball, Fisher-Nightingale Houses, For Love of Children, Gala of Hope, Hannah’s Treasure Chest, Honor Flight Dayton, Hospice of Dayton, Marine Corp Toys For Tots, Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association, Pink Ribbon Girls, Ronald McDonald House, Shoes 4 the Shoeless, Shriners Children’s Ohio, The Foodbank, Inc., United Rehabilitation Services, With God’s Grace.

As part of charity night, the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association will be collecting unwrapped toys for the annual toy drive. The OHHA partners with Hollywood Dayton Raceway and the Dayton Fire Department Local 135 to spread Christmas joy to the needy children of the Dayton area.
