Owner, trainer, driver combine for six wins at Northville Saturday

Northville, MI – On a snowy and windy Saturday night (Nov. 19) in Michigan, owner Gary Wilmoth, trainer Elizabeth Tolley and driver Kody Massey heated up for a sextet of wins on the Northville Downs program.

The trio started the night out in the first race winning with 5-year-old gelding Hoosier Hypnotic (Hypnotic Blue Chip – Cmybest) who put the field in a trance going coast-to-coast in 1:59.2.

In race five, Anoche (Another Mile – Cher Bono) went wire-to-wire in 1:58.3, winning by 3-1/4 lengths. It was the 58th career win for the 9-year-old gelding.

In the seventh race, the 8-year-old son of Articulator, J J Tanner, went wire-to-wire in 1:55.4 to win by three lengths.

In race eight, Magic Shark (Shadyshark Hanover – Jenna’s Magic) cast a spell on the field, overcoming being parked the mile, and won from off the pace to get up for a length and a quarter victory in 1:56.

The 10th race was won by the 3-year-old son of McArdle, Pitt Panda, from off the pace in 1:57.4, to win by a head over fellow closer Bunkerhill Phil.

And then the sixth win on the night for the trio came in the night’s finale, race 11, when Lyons Friends (Western Ideal – Artistic Vision) went wire-to-wire in 1:56.3, to win by 1-3/4 lengths.

Last weekend, the trio got their first hat trick together. So the snowy Saturday night ended up setting a new career milestone for the team with their first six-win night together and gave them all something for which to be thankful.

Also on the night, driver/trainer Skip DeMull blew up the toteboard in the sixth race with Rockin Rusty (7, g by Rockin Image – Yankee Ashley) from post position eight at odds of 87.80-1 for owner Carol Dehnbostel. Rockin Rusty circled the field from last to get up for a quarter-length win over Venom at the wire to pay $177.60 to win on a $2 win wager.

Driver Lindsay Moen captured two driving victories on the night as well.
