Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Thursday, June 28, 2012

I’ve hit four Pick-4s so far this meet, the highest paying $238 for $1 and I’m down $115 on the meet. Tonight the guarantee is lowered to $25,000 for this Thursday night card.

For the championship meet I’m going to try more realistic, and more creative, tickets to see how that works out, but be forewarned that even with much more of a spread, it’s still not easy to hit a Pick-4 at this track.

$1 play: 210/1710/69/9 = $12

Analysis:

Race 6: (2) Mister Barnett N and (10) Remissionofsins are the two obvious horses here.

Race 7: (1) Gold Walker showed some speed in last at Philadelphia and that was only his second start since last August so improvement is possible. (7) Tiger’s Too Good and (10) Bambino Hall both take key drops in class and are threats here.

Race 8: (6) She Wears It Well was beaten at 6-5 in last and only has one win in 15 starts but this is a weak field. (9) Weekend Vacation beat similar, including top pick, in last.

Race 9: (9) Bluff is the obvious heavy favorite, dropping from PA Sire Stakes into a weak NW1. If she loses, the Pick-4 could pay well but I’m going with a small ticket on this card.
