Pass The Vape favored in Miami Valley’s $20,000 Open Trot

Lebanon, OH – Miami Valley Raceway will present its first open class event of its eighth annual season on Tuesday (Jan. 5) when a $20,000 Open Trot is part of the 14-race program. A recent winner of the final 2020 Open Trot at Hollywood Dayton three weeks ago, Pass The Vape has been given the slight morning line edge at 5-2 in the quality seven horse field.

Trevor Smith will steer the favored six-year-old son of Ohio stallion Dejarmbro who will face a pair of other recent open winners at Northfield Park and Hoosier Park, plus four winners of high conditioned classes at either Dayton or The Meadows in their last efforts.

Workinitonbroadway (Chris Page, 9-2) won an open at Northfield in mid-December and Swan Chase (Trace Tetrick, 4-1) captured one at Hoosier in late November.

Annas Lucky Star (Brett Miller, 3-1), Voyage To Paris (Kayne Kauffman, 8-1), Glidinthruparadise (Tyler Smith, 5-1) and Bank Guard (Mitchell Cushing, 10-1) are the remaining challengers.

Post time for the Tuesday matinee program is 2:05 p.m.
