Paul Andrew Ginn, 90, dies

Columbus, OH — Paul Andrew Ginn, 90, of Columbus, OH., died February 14, 2020, under hospice care at West Park Rehabilitation Center in Columbus.

Mr. Ginn was born in Pomeroy, OH and was a United States Army Veteran. Paul’s father, Arthur, worked as a blacksmith in Pomeroy and at the Meigs County Fairgrounds racetrack at Rock Springs, OH. Mr. Ginn’s father would take him along with him to the racetrack. That is where young Paul’s love for harness racing was born.

Mr. Ginn served as Assistant Paddock Judge and Paddock Judge at Scioto Downs. He helped care for and develop two Ohio Sires Stakes winners while working for Jim Arledge and Jim Arledge Jr. Tu Tu Twain in 2005 and Trottin Troy in 2006.

During the early 60,s Mr. Ginn was general manager of the Park-Ohio Corporation of Columbus and was elected to the National Parking Association.

Paul’s passing is mourned by his niece, nephew and a great-niece along with neighbors and friends.
