Paulding, OH — It is the 158th annual Paulding County Fair and harness racing action returns to the historic track that has occupied the hearts and hopes of area residents since 1872.
Monday’s (June 11) card offers a 5 p.m. post time and debuts the Ohio Fair Racing Conference’s 2-year-old filly pacers as well as the 2-year-old colt trotters for their very first lifetime stakes races.
With such an abundance of quality horses and opportunities in Ohio, we may be witness to the start of another career such as the Jim Mullinix-trained Lost In Time p,2,1:50.1s. The son of A Rocknroll Dance-Summer Mystery made his debut on the Ohio County Fair Circuit in 2017 and went on to be honored as the United States Harness Writers Association’s Dan Patch Award-winning 2-year-old Pacer of the Year as he amassed $608,112 in just nine starts.
The 3-year-old colt pacers get to strut their stuff as well.
Tuesday’s (June 12) 5 p.m. program offers the OFRC 2-year-old colt pacers and the 2-year-old filly trotters, as well as 3-year-old colt trotters going head-to-head.
Completing the three-day harness card on Wednesday (June 13) are the 3-year-old filly trotters and pacers including the start of the Ohio Ladies Pace Series as the highly-competitive and talented female drivers do battle in a summer-long event.
The Paulding County Pace brings together the area trainers’ Free-For-Allers which promises some pretty good racing.
