Payments due April 15 for 2007 NJSS races

by Leon Zimmerman, for the New Jersey Sires Stakes

Trenton, NJ — The April 15 deadline for New Jersey Sire Stakes second sustaining payments is the last chance for owners of NJ-sired 2-year-old and 3-year-old pacers and trotters to be kept eligible to the lucrative 2007 Pari-Mutuel and Green Acres racing programs.

The NJSS Pari-Mutuel Division begins in May at The Meadowlands and August at Freehold Raceway. The Green Acres Division begins in August at Freehold.

Due on April 15 are: $150 second sustaining Green Acres Division payments for 2- and 3-year-olds, $550 second sustaining Pari-Mutuel Division payments for 2-year-olds and $650 second sustaining Pari-Mutuel Division payments for 3-year-olds.

Checks should be made payable in U.S. funds to NJSS, P.O. Box 34400, Newark, NJ 07101-4400. Because April 15 falls on a Sunday, payments will be accepted if they are post-marked by April 16.
