Pearl “P.P” Paver, 86, dies

Columbus, OH — Pearl “P.P” Paver, 86, of Marysville, Ohio, died Aug. 3, 2022, at Walnut Crossing surrounded by his family.

A devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he never knew a stranger and always had a smile on his face. A 1955 graduate of Marysville High School, he attended the Allen Center Baptist Church.

He truly enjoyed the time he spent with his sons working with Standardbreds.

Mr. Paver was a member of the Laborer’s Union Local 423 for 33 years and the USTA for many years.

Born June 18, 1936, in Allen Township, he was the son of the late Joe and Cora (Whittemore) Paver. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Drew; daughter-in-law, Carmen; sisters, Annie Kreis and Lois Wood; and his brothers, Bill, Eugene, Walter and Tom.

On Aug. 3, 1957, at the Allen Center Baptist Church, he married his wife of exactly 65 years, Carol (Jackson) Paver and she survives in Marysville. He is also survived by a daughter, Becky (Ed) Bushong; sons, Joe and Dennis (Debbie); grandchildren, Annie (Mike) Del Conte, Lacy Casperson, Kasey (Chas) McCutcheon, Angie (Josh) Short, Levi (Sarah), Kerry (Savannah), Kaylee (Jerry) Baker and Kim (Jake) Chesbrough; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; in-laws, Sharon (Sam) Yohn, Marty Preston, Chuck Jackson and Rick (Karen) Jackson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
