Charlottetown, PEI — The June 1st deadline is approaching for registration for Standardbred Pedigree Camp 2007.
With a limit of 40 attendees the camp is almost full, but Island Standardbred breeders and buyers still have a chance of being among the select few to know “The Secret” to breeding and buying the best.
The Pedigree Camp is scheduled for June 8-10 at the Atlantic Technology Centre in Charlottetown. Sponsored by the PEI Department of Agriculture and the PEI Colt Stakes, the sponsors will be on hand to welcome attendees at a lobster dinner set for Friday evening at the Best Western. Special guest speaker at the dinner will be Aage Hansen, an author and pedigree researcher from Denmark who will present a video presentation on harness racing in Sweden and Denmark.
Registration forms are available at the Charlottetown Driving Park race office as well as from Norman Hall at 368-2340.
Dr. Paul Spears of Hanover Shoe Farms will be back for this year’s camp along with breeders and owners already registered from Ontario, Alberta, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Minnesota, Maine and the Maritimes.
