Pick Six carryover near $15,000 at The Meadowlands

from the Meadowlands Publicity Department

East Rutherford, NJ — For the second time in seven racing nights, the Pick 6 at the Meadowlands will have nearly a $15,000 carryover heading into Wednesday night’s (Feb. 7) races.

With only one winning favorite in Saturday’s Pick 6 races, five winners were the best bettors could manage, resulting in $14,596.80 carried over to Wednesday.

A carryover in excess of $15,000 on the previous Friday attracted an additional $20,000 in Pick 6 wagering.

Wednesday’s Pick 6 races (four through nine) feature full fields and many contentious races. Brian Sears has the drive on three morning line favorites in the Pick 6 races, including the last leg, race nine, with leading trainer Mark Silva’s pacing mare BJ’s Myrtle Mae. The 8-year-old winner of more than $300,000 lifetime was the beaten favorite in the filly and mare claiming handicap the last two weeks and had drawn post 10 in four of her last five starts. She gets a better draw Wednesday, starting from post seven and is listed at 5-2 on the morning line. Sears and Silva have teamed together for 12 wins in 67 starts this meet.

The Pick 6 is a $1 minimum wager on races four through nine every racing night at the Meadowlands.
