Saratoga Springs, NY — Pickup Man Hanover emerged out of Saturday night’s (Sept. 21) featured $15,000 Open Pace at Saratoga Casino Hotel with his third top-level victory of the meeting.
The 5-year-old Jaymes McAssey trainee took back in the early going and was 5-1/2 lengths off the lead through a contested :56.1 first half before Wally Hennessey made his move with him. After finding second-over cover, Pickup Man Hanover made steady progress throughout the second lap before taking the lead as the field turned for home, and he drew off to score by 3-1/2 lengths in 1:53.4. Alluneedisfaith N (driven by Shawn Gray) closed to be second; Talking Tom (Chris Long) was third.

Pickup Man Hanover, who paid $12.40 to win, is owned by Dennis and Simone Noud.
Hennessey piloted four other winners on the card.
