Pocono, horsemen donate to Komen foundation

Bobby Soper, president and chief executive officer of Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, presents two checks totaling $3,000 to Dolly Woody, executive director of the Susan G. Komen Foundation For The Cure, Northeastern Pennsylvania Affiliate.

Wilkes-Barre, PA — Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs and the Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen’s Association (PHHA) each contributed $1,500 in conjunction with the recently-held Mildred Williams International Driving Series at the Northeastern Pennsylvania racetrack.

All women drivers participated in two races that afternoon and donated a total of $555 in purse money to the charity.

The Mildred Williams Driving Series will continue through November at various tracks in North America with various charities benefitting from the appearances of the women drivers.
