Pompano Beach, FL — Pompano Park will host a unique Rival Racing Championship beginning Feb. 1 with the competition running through closing night, May 30, with $27,000 up for grabs.
The competition will have four divisions with stables with 12 or more horses racing for a cash “stable” purse of $12,500; stables with six to 11 horses going for $8,000; stables with two to five horses seeking the top prize of $4,000; and single stabled horses will vie for a $2,500 award.
The criteria for earning points is that any entry earns one point, with a subsequent win worth three points, a second place finish earning two points and a third place finish garnering one point.
All stables automatically qualify if they are in good standing with PPI and the State of Florida.
All horses must be stabled at Pompano Park and be present until May 30 and must meet the criteria for the average of the meeting.
