Monticello, NY — Beginning Tuesday (Nov. 1) and continuing throughout the remainder of the year, all post times at Monticello Gaming & Raceway will be at 12:25 p.m.
“With the change to Daylight Savings Time forthcoming we will begin our racing programs one-half hour earlier,” noted Shawn Wiles, the track’s assistant general manager. “We annually set post times earlier during this time of the year in an effort to get our racing programs completed during the daylight hours.”
The Sullivan County oval offers live harness racing on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. However, on Thanksgiving Day, there will be no racing.
Simulcast wagering on Thoroughbreds — as well as some other harness tracks — is available during the afternoons while the evenings are largely devoted to harness simulcasts.
And of course, there’s also gaming at the Mighty M.
