Allamerican Cheer repeats in Wednesday feature at Dover Dover, DE — Allamerican Cheer used the same game plan as last week, closing fast in the stretch to annex her second straight score in the $16,000 Winners Over Trot on Wednesday at Dover Downs. Meet leading driver Corey Callahan drove three winners.
Again driver Ross Wolfenden sat patiently as a succession of rivals battled for the lead. In the stretch, the Yankee Glide-Chelemark Ginger 5-year-old mare, trained by Charles Tribbett, outfinished her seven opponents on the way to a 1:55.1 victory in the week’s top trot. Lets Get Serious N (George Dennis) had the lead in the stretch but had to settle for second.
Fred Hertrich bred and owns Allamerican Cheer who posted her sixth win of the campaign, raising her seasonal earnings to $36,934.
Road Rash was placed first in the $14,000 sub-featured trot when Tudy (Matt Kakaley) was disqualified and placed out of the money after breaking stride and not losing ground in deep stretch while leading.
Corey Callahan drove Road Rash for George and Janette Hobbs. An altered son of Broadway Hall-Customary Logo, the 5-year-old was followed by Jeter Marvel (Toby Lynch), placed second and Idol Kemp (Roger Plante), placed third. The race time was 1:57.
The win was the second of the day for trainer Eddie Dennis whose trotter, E&J Stable’s Striking Victress, won the first race, her second win in a row.

The Meadows
Jessesjo got the jump on the field with a backside burst and went on to a comfortable victory in Wednesday’s $22,500 Preferred Trot at The Meadows. Jessesjo was sitting second when Mike Wilder sent him after the leader, Florida Mac Attack. The 4-year-old Jailhouse Jesse-Boston Blaze gelding blazed the third quarter in :27.4 and downed Rembrandt Spur, the 3-10 favorite, by 3-1/4 lengths in 1:54.2 over a “good” surface. Christina Victory rallied for show. Ron Burke trains Jessesjo for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC. It was the 318th victory for Burke in 2011 at The Meadows, bettering his own mark for most training wins in a single season at the track. Tony Hall drove four winners on the 15-race card.
