Lexington, KY — A parade of longshots left no winning tickets in the Pick-4 sequence on Sunday night (July 31) at The Red Mile, leaving a $5,247 carryover into Thursday night’s (Aug. 4) Pick-4. Track officials, in conjunction with the USTA’s Strategic Wagering Program, have placed an instant guarantee of $20,000 on the total pool Thursday night.
The Pick-4 is a nightly wager covering races seven–10, featuring a $1 minimum. The pool has a standard guaranteed pool of $5,000 every Thursday and Sunday during the season.
The opening leg of Kentucky Sires Stakes racing will be held on Sunday (Aug. 7), featuring eight divisions worth $15,000 each. The horses will return the following Sunday for the second leg, with the $1.4 million Night of Champions to follow on Sunday (Aug. 21).
Live racing continues at The Red Mile on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday nights, with a first post of 7 p.m. each evening.
