Lexington, KY — The Red Mile has made playing the races a bit more enticing for its horseplayers and fans. Beginning with this Sunday’s card the retention rate on the daily Pick-4 wager (races seven-10) has been reduced to 15 percent and will come with a pool guarantee of $5,000 on Sundays, courtesy of The Red Mile and the USTA Strategic Wagering Program.

This pairs nicely with the existing Pick-5 on races two-six which also offers the low take out rate of 15 percent.

The Red Mile is currently racing live on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday with a 1 p.m. post time each day.

Looking ahead

The Red Mile will be hosting a very limited number of spectators to its live race meet, beginning with the Sept 20 Kentucky Sire Stakes finals and continuing through the remainder of the meet. The full racing schedule is available on the website at redmileky.com.

Horse owners and trainers with Kentucky racing licenses, credentialed members of the media and a limited number of reserved tickets will be made available. The clubhouse will be open for dining on a required reservation basis. Admission tickets and clubhouse reservations can be requested by emailing Bessie.purvis@redmile.biz.

Masks, social distancing and screening (temperature checks and questionnaire) will be required for attendance, as per Kentucky regulations for COVID-19.
