Ft. Washington, MD — Rock N’ Roll Jet has always done his best work at Rosecroft. Sunday night (Dec. 3), he took his eighth victory of the season, winning the $10,000 Open Handicap for driver Kim Vincent in 1:51.2.
It was career win 36 for the 8-year-old son of Rocknroll Hanover, who has lifetime earnings of $274,411. He is owned by trainer Buddy Bright and Dawn Webb.
Vincent put him into second over position behind Rocktavius and then passed his foe in the stretch to win by 1-3/4 lengths, with a last quarter in :27.4. Rocktavious held for second, while Kiss A Dragon was third.
Vincent picked up a driving double, winning coast-to-coast with Major Blue Coat for Michael and Brittany Bounds.
White Rolls won his ninth race of the year, as Jonathan Roberts rated him through a mile of 1:53.1. Tammy Crescenze owns the 4-year-old Roll With Joe gelding for trainer Amanda Malone.
Roberts picked up a double by winning with Carolyn Boyce’s 11-year-old Hruby’s N Luck for trainer Brian Malone.
Frank Milby had two wins with Accokeek Mercury for owner-trainer Rusty Cox and Putnam’s Storm for the Four Maples Stables. The latter was one of two wins for trainer Brian Fisher on the card, as Allan Davis scored the other with Talking Blues.
Roger Plante took the featured trot with Dunn Dealin for Kerry Welty. Judy Welty trains the Neely Dunn offspring who won for the third time this year. Welty leads the training standings with 16 wins with five nights to go.
