Columbus, MN — The Minnesota harness racing season is close at hand as Running Aces completed its second session of qualifying races on Tuesday night (May 15).
The 10-year-old gelding pacer Goody Two Socks (Rick Magee) turned in the fastest mile of the night, with his 1:58.4 tally while returning a sharp final half of :57.3 and final quarter of :28.2.
The 3-year-old pacing filly Baia’s Delight (by Bettor’s Delight) was a sharp winner off a pocket trip and a slow first half-mile, as she won going away in 2:02.2 (:58 final half) with owner/trainer Brady Jenson in the bike.
The other dash winners were Bringoverthemoney (Brian Detgen) in 2:03 and RSS Express (Nick Roland) in 2:04.3, both on the trot, with pacers Hot Dandy (Mooney Svendsen) scoring in 1:59.3 and 3-year-old filly Nurse Nattie (Brady Jenson) turning in a 2:01.1 mile.
The RA race office draws Wednesday morning (May 16) for both Saturday night (May 19) and Sunday night (May 20). Entries are due in the race office by 10 a.m. (CDT) for both cards.
