Columbus, OH — Free program pages are available for Saturday’s (Jan. 28) guaranteed $40,000 Pick-4 pool at Balmoral Park, fueled by an $11,662 carryover, as part of the U.S. Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering program. The pages, courtesy of TrackMaster, can be found here.
Saturday’s Pick-4 at Balmoral Park is races 10 through 13. Post time for the opening leg of the wager, race 10, is 10:19 p.m. (CST). The minimum wager is $1 and the takeout on the Pick-4 is a low 15 percent. The final Pick-4 pool is estimated at $61,662.
The Saturday Pick-4 is a complex puzzle with one nine-horse field and three ten-horse fields. The Saturday Pick-4 is on the final four races and will start on race 10, immediately following the Meadowlands.
Through Jan. 27, Balmoral Park sports one of the lowest percentages of winning favorites in recent memory. The combination of large fields and competitive racing in the 123 races offered in 2012 have resulted in 38 winning favorites for a percentage of 30.89 percent. This has resulted in the Balmoral Park handle soaring to an average of over $1 million per night in 2012.
