Somwherovrarainbow tops first day of mixed sale

Timonium, MD – Pacing broodmare Somwherovrarainbow, a Dan Patch Award winner at age 2, was purchased in foal to stallion Always B Miki for $240,000 by Crawford Farms to lead Friday’s (Nov. 6) first session of the Standardbred Horse Sale’s mixed sale at the Maryland State Fairgrounds.

Pacing broodmare Somwherovrarainbow, a Dan Patch Award winner at age 2, was purchased in foal to stallion Always B Miki for $240,000 by Crawford Farms.

The 10-year-old Somwherovrarainbow is the offspring of two Horse of the Year winners, Somebeachsomewhere and Rainbow Blue. On the track, she won 20 of 46 races and $1.34 million. She was consigned by Diamond Creek Farm.

Next on the list of top sellers was trotting broodmare Live Laugh Love, who was purchased for $150,000 by Robert Lindstrom. The 5-year-old is by Donato Hanover out of Shes Gone Again. Her family includes Dan Patch Award winner Poof She’s Gone. On the track, Live Laugh Love won eight of 25 starts and $281,718. She also was consigned by Diamond Creek Farm.

A total of 275 horses sold Friday for a gross of $6.56 million and average of $23,880. The final day of the mixed sale is Saturday (Nov. 6).
