Ferrari B R, a 4-year-old son to Muscles Yankee, looked like a real Ferrari at the Jarlsberg Track in Norway Saturday (May 20) afternoon, winning in a new world record of 1.52.2f (mile rate) over 1-5/16 miles.
Ferrari B R driven by his trainer Per Oleg Midtfjeld trotted 50-70 yards ahead of the field and won handily.The former world record was held by Mosaique Face of Sweden at 1.54f.
Ferrari B R was bred by Björn Riishaug and his dam, Bauxit is by SJ’s Caviar.She is also the dam of the fine mare, Diadora BR by Ken Warkentin, who has a record of 1.54.1f and earnings of $240,000.
Ferrari BR is owned by a stable called Folkehesten – The Peoples Horse. It is an ownership group where 1.000 shares were available for a one-time investment of $50 each. At the end of the year, shareholders will get a dividend for their investment
To date, Ferrari BR has raced 10 times and won eight races and is considered the favorite for the Norwegian Trotting Derby in September.
