Seymour, IN — There will be a southern Indiana horsemen’s meeting on Saturday, March 15. The meeting will be held at Ryan’s Restaurant in Seymour, Indiana.

To reach the facility, leave interstate I-65 at Exit 50B and take the first right. The restaurant is located on the access road.

Those wishing to enjoy a meal prior to the meeting should plan to arrive around 5:00 p.m. The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. It will be the last opportunity for a meeting prior to the commencement of qualifiers at Hoosier Park.

This is an informal meeting where updates about this year’s racing season will be made. Jack Holton, President of the Indiana Standardbred Association, will be attending the meeting to offer insight into many issues on the forefront of the industry. The Hoosier Park Director of Standardbred Racing, Kevin Mack, will be available to provide information about the upcoming meet at Hoosier Park. He is planning to unveil the first condition sheet of 2008 at the meeting. This is the first place it will be available to horsemen.

In addition, copies of publications to be utilized for breeding and racing in the state will be offered to those attending the meeting. These include the Indiana Stallion Directory and Indiana Nomination Booklet and Calendar, as well as the 2009 Indiana Standardbred Breed Development Program where several changes will be implemented.

This meeting will present an opportunity for horsemen to ask questions and get information. According to the meeting organizer, Harold Ruddick, “I’ll try to answer any questions from those attending. If I don’t know the answer, I’ll find out for them.”

Several door prizes have been donated by local businesses for use at the meeting.

If you have any questions, please contact Harold Ruddick at: (812) 445-3779 or haroldr@hoosierhoofprints.com.

Although this meeting is being held in southern Indiana, all interested parties are invited and encouraged to attend.
