Southwind Tempo was a bargain $3,500 purchase developed by Lare’s stepbrother, Toby Lynch, Jr. She won 16 of 21 starts and $863,604 while racing for Steve Elliott last season.
Adam Victor & Son Stable LLC’s My Little Dragon was the winner in the second $50,000 division of the Overbid, crossing the finish line in 1:52.1.
Ron Pierce drove the winner to a nose triumph over Street Dancer (Andy Miller) with Ideal Weather (Yannick Gingras) just a neck off the pace.
