Columbus, OH — It’s not too late to sign-up for the U.S. Trotting Association Charity Golf Outing and have a chance to win some great prizes, including a hole-in-one prize of a John Deere Gator provided by the J.D. Implement Company of London, Ohio, and auxiliary hole prizes that include a new set of golf clubs, a Dell® Computer, and Bose® Sound Systems.

There will also be plenty of door prizes, donated by Embroidery Unlimited, NTRA Purchasing, the Delaware County Fair, the Meadowlands, the U.S. Trotting Association, and many more.

The 10th annual event will take place on Aug. 8 at Foxfire Golf Club in Lockbourne, Ohio, with check-in beginning at 9:00 a.m. and a “shotgun start” at 10:00 a.m. (EDT). The event is a two-person scramble, with an entry fee of $50.00 per golfer. The fee includes a box lunch and some beverages.

This year’s event is being played in memory of Don Pontius, U.S. Trotting Association staff attorney, who passed away this past May. Proceeds from the event will benefit a variety of U.S. Trotting Association youth and outreach programs, including ongoing educational programs that encourage youth involvement with Standardbreds.

Golfers will be vying for a variety of tournament and course prizes and trophies. In addition, all golfers will receive special gifts donated by Harness Racing TV (HRTV), and have a chance to win additional door prizes.

Those interested in playing should contact Chip Hastings at (614) 224-2291, ext. 3250, or contact him via e-mail at chip@ustrotting.com, before Aug 1.
