St Lads Sterling leads Randall five-bagger

Saratoga Springs, NY — St Lads Sterling scored his second consecutive win — and gave driver Jay Randall one of five wins on the program — in Saturday night’s (April 15) $14,500 winners-over pacing feature at Saratoga Casino Hotel.

After Kaporal and driver Mitch Cushing clicked off first-half fractions of :26.4 and :55.3, St Lads Sterling powered off the rail from third heading to the three-quarter pole before going toe-to-toe in the stretch. At the wire, St Lads Sterling proved victorious by a neck in a sizzling 1:52. Kaporal was the runner-up; long shot Lindas In Heaven (McGwire Sowers) earned the show spot.
