Middlebury, IN — A fundraising effort at the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale this past weekend was deemed a success according to sale manager Steve Cross.
A total of $25,500 was generated through the fundraising efforts of friends and family of Amy Miller, daughter of Duane and Dora Miller of Legacy Lane Farm. She was recently diagnosed with Leukemia and is scheduled to undergo a bone marrow transplant later this year.
“The harness racing community came through in their customary fashion,” said Cross. “The response and generosity was overwhelming. With the help of donors Finn Tack, Midwest Harness Supply, Big Dee’s and Bluestone Farm of New Jersey, and everyone who purchased tickets and made donations, the effort was more than we could have hoped for. I should have known. It was very humbling.”
