East Rutherford, NJ — Meadowlands Racetrack featured five divisions of the Super Bowl series for trotters and two divisions of the White Ruffles for pacing mares on Thursday (Jan. 12).
The fastest of the five $12,500 Super Bowl divisions for 4-year-old trotters went to Windswept Stable’s Glide To Victory in a time of 1:58.
David Miller was in the bike for trainer Gary Cameron as the son of Yankee Glide-Miss Fairfax scored by 3-1/2 lengths over Bruise Cruise with Mr Jim Dandy third.
The other divisional winners of the Super Bowl were: In the White Ruffles Series for 4-year-old pacing mares, Robert Devine’s Devine Filly rallied in the lane to take the fastest division in a time of 1:56.3. Yannick Gingras steered the Metropolitan-Fabulous Filly miss to a one length score over Rei Of Sunshine with Lizas Pride third. Devine Filly is trained by John McDermott. The other $12,500 White Ruffles spilt went to Cappy Stable’s Miss Behave in 1:57.3. Brian Sears was the pilot for trainer Donald Maiorano as the daughter of Dags-Miss Megan E rallied from fifth place at the top of the stretch to score by a neck over Fella’s Ella.
