A start off the pylons was the right answer for Just Plain Loco ($3.40) as he never looked back in cruising to an easy 2-1/4 length victory over Villiam in Buffalo Raceway’s $15,500 Open Pace on Saturday night (June 10). Just Plain Loco led every step of the mile in going a seasonal best 1:54.2.
Rip Wheeler, Yanks Dugout are speedy Pocono feature winners
Rip Wheeler went the fastest mile of the year at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania to take the pacing division of the $18,500 co-features Saturday afternoon (June 10), while Yanks Dugout equaled the fastest local trotting mile of the year to take the feature on that gait.

Burton’s Hill repeats in Buckeye Stallion Series action
Three-year-old colt trotters were back in Buckeye Stallion Series action Friday night (June 9) at Eldorado Scioto Downs. All five first-leg winners returned, but only Burton’s Hill was able to find the winner’s circle in the $20,000 events.
Muscle Gene conquers Cumberland
Muscle Gene took the $5,500 top trot at Cumberland on Friday (June 9) afternoon, winning his second start in row at the Southern Maine oval. In keeping with previous statements, the horse has done nothing but improve since arriving back in the Pine Tree State in mid-May.
