Washington, PA — Tall Cotton zipped to thefront from post seven, worked out comfortable fractions and had just enoughlate to capture Wednesday’s (Nov. 2) $18,000 Winners Over $10,000Life/Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.
Dave Palone gave Tall Cotton an opening half in28/57.2. Even with that second-quarter breather, the 10-year-old Revenue S-BCor Peatra gelding was all out to withstand the Lightning Lane brush of ChefLee, downing him by 1/2 length in 1:54. The first-over See The Wind raced wellfor show.
Ron Burke trains Tall Cotton, who soared over$800,000 in career earnings, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC,Edwin Gold and Howard Taylor.
