Harrington, DE — Mike Casalino and Dylan Davis’ Theresademoninme ($16, Jon Roberts) notched his 21st career win in upset fashion Wednesday (Oct. 11) at Harrington Raceway with a 1:55.3 victory in the $16,000 Open Trot.
Trained by co-owner Davis, Roberts put the 6-year-old Kadabra gelding on the early lead, where he would never relent in a powerful score over Wind Of The North and Tymal Signature.
Victor Kirby continued to maintain a slim margin in the driver standings with his 3,991st career win with Wingus ($3.80). Kirby currently has a two win lead over Allan Davis, who won the fourth race with Explosive Jet ($5) and tenth with Delaware Hanover ($3), as the race for the meet’s leading driver heats up with five nights of racing remaining in the season.
Vince Bradley and Louis Catana had an owner double when Sunset Mike ($3.80, Art Stafford Jr.) scored a 1:57.1 win in a sub-featured $11,000 trot. The win also gave Bradley a training double. Ross Wolfenden, who is third in the driver standings, won a pair of races.
Brian Malone (30 victories) is the leader over Josh Green in the trainer standings by two wins.
