FREEHOLD, NJ — New Jersey’s third off-track wagering site, Favorites at Toms River, is nearing completion just in time for the Kentucky Derby. The 28,000 square foot facility will open its doors to the public at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29.
The first leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown, the Kentucky Derby will be run on Saturday, May 3.
Favorites at Toms River will feature 164 individual handicapping desks, 326 flat screen monitors, a 141 seat sports bar and an exclusive VIP lounge.
The General Contractor on the project was Epic Management of Piscataway, NJ who worked tirelessly to meet the Kentucky Derby deadline for completion.
The state’s other two off-tack wagering facilities are in Vineland and Woodbridge.
