Dover, DE —- Veteran pacer Doctor Rich and the Davis family of Smyrna, Del., has a three generation legacy.
Doctor Rich, still campaigning in 2011 at age 13, was broken to harness and raced his early career for Eddie Davis, the all-time leading driver in the Delaware Valley and member of the Delaware Sports Hall of Fame. More recently, Eddie’s son Allan began driving Doctor Rich. Now Eddie’s grandson, Allan’s teenage son, Tyler, scored his first driving win with Doctor Rich in late December at Rosecroft Raceway.
Three generations of the Davis family, all connected with pacer Doctor Rich, a horse bred and owned by long-time Davis patrons Allan Pullman and Barry Glickstein.
