Three notch second Buckeye Stallion Series wins at Bucyrus

Grove City, OH — The Crawford County Fair in Bucyrus, Ohio, hosted the second leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series for 2-year-old filly pacers Wednesday (July 21).

Three first leg winners found the winner’s circle again. Future Ex-wife, McAngel, and Cruizinbytheseaside remained perfect in the series.

Future Ex-wife (Fear The Dragon), from the Bill Rhoades Stable with Ryan Stahl in the sulky, stopped the timer in 1:57.4. Craig Stein owns the filly out of Lady Mach.

McAngel (McArdle) was three-wide at the three-quarter pole and went on to win by 2-1/2 lengths for Chris Page and Sandy Beatty in 1:58.2. McAngel is owned by Lawrence Crawford.

Also undefeated in the series is Cruizinbytheseaside (Downbytheseaside). The filly was a winner in 1:58.2 for Page, Virgil Morgan Jr. and owners Carl Howard and Larry Wills.

The newcomers on the winning stage were led by Prancing Queen (Downbytheseaside) with Chris Lems for Scott Cox in 1:58.3. The filly is owned by Jason Ash, Parent Racing Stable and Cox.

The final division went to She Means Business (Pet Rock) in 2:00.4 with Lems for Ryan Miller. The filly is owned by Miller Racing Stable, Chris Gilbert, Mazing Racing Stable and Horseplay Racing Stable.

The third leg of the BSS for 2-year-old filly pacers will be held at Eldorado Scioto Downs on Wednesday (Aug. 11).
