Mentor, OH — Kim and Randy Haines of Cool Winds Farm, along with Buckeye Breeding, in conjunction with Joe Chnapko and Bill Gallagher, have announced that Tom Cango 2,1:57.1f; 3,1:53.2 ($515,930), the half-brother to Broadway Hall, will be entering the Ohio stallion ranks for the 2012 season, standing in Lima at Cool Winds Farm.
A 13-time winner and earner of more than $500,000, Tom Cango is the fastest and richest son of his sire, Tom Ridge. Tom Cango was a winner of his first five starts at two, including the elimination and final of the William Wellwood Memorial at Mohawk and a Pennsylvania Sire Stakes at Pocono. At three, Tom Cango came back and won in 1:53.2 at the Meadowlands while also winning a Bluegrass Stakes division at The Red Mile and had numerous placings in other Grand Circuit events.
