East Rutherford, NJ — One week ago, the Erv Miller-trained Trolley worked out a perfect pocket trip on the way to gunning down a heavy favorite in the Friday night conditioned trotting feature at The Meadowlands. Trolley left nothing to chance this time around, blasting to the lead just after the quarter and taking the Big M Friday night (Nov. 30) feature for a second straight week.

The 5-year-old son of Donato Hanover-Lakeside Bride left the gate and was parked around the first turn. He was then urged to the lead by driver Marcus Miller just after the quarter and was permitted to rate the middle half in :57, leaving more than enough gas in his tank to win for the 10th time in just 23 lifetime starts. The pocket-sitting Opulent Yankee raced well for second, finishing three-quarters of a length behind the winner. Misslarose was third.

Trolley, who finished second to 1-5 shot Southwind Frank in the $500,000 Beal Memorial in 2016, has now earned just over $280,000 for owners Paymaq Racing, Leland Mathias, Greg Gillis and Louis Willinger.

As the 3-5 public choice, Trolley paid $3.20 to win after trotting the mile in 1:52.1.

A Little More: Driver Andy McCarthy kept up his winning ways, scoring three times on the program to increase his meet-leading win total to 24.

The 50-cent Pick-4 was a hit with the bettors, as the pool total of $85,439 proves. One lucky player wagering into the Oregon hub was the only bettor to correctly select the winner of the first eight legs of the 20-cent Survivor Pick-10 and walked away with $11,664.

All-source wagering totaled $1,799,373.
