The Prix de Bretagne – the first elimination for the prestigious Prix d’Amerique – will be raced Sunday afternoon (Nov. 20) at Vincennes, and a look at the start list indicates that a new generation is ready to take over in French trotting.

Seventeen trotters are entered in the 1-11/16 mile event with average age of 6.2-years-old.  In the 2021 Prix d’Amerique, the average was 7.9-years-old.

The Prix de Bretagne is the first of four elimination races – from each of these races the first three finishers secure a spot in the big race on the last Sunday in January.
