Columbus, OH — On August 8 the U.S. Trotting Association will conduct its annual charity golf outing at Foxfire Golf Club, located in Lockbourne, Ohio, with check-in beginning at 9:00 a.m. (EDT), and a “shotgun start” at 10:00 a.m. The event is a two-person scramble, with an entry fee of $50.00 per golfer.
This year’s event is being played in memory of Don Pontius, USTA staff attorney, who passed away this past May. Proceeds from the event will benefit a variety of USTA Youth and Outreach Programs, including ongoing educational programs that encourage youth to get involved with Standardbreds.
Golfers will be vying for a variety of tournament and course prizes and trophies. In addition, all golfers will receive special gifts donated by Harness Racing Television (HRTV), and a chance to win additional door prizes. Registration closes on August 1.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available; corporate sponsorship is $250.00 and hole sponsorship is $125.
Anyone who is interested in obtaining a registration form, or receiving additional information about sponsorship, is asked to contact Chip Hastings via e-mail at chip@ustrotting.com, or call (877) 800-USTA, ext. 3250.
