USTA seeks member services representative

Columbus, OH – The U.S. Trotting Association is seeking a qualified and professional Member Services Representative.  This position reports directly to the Assistant Registrar and is outlined below.  While this position is considered remote, there may be occasions when you will need to work onsite to attend team meetings or gather information therefore the ideal candidate should reside in Ohio.

Position Summary
The member service representative has direct contact with the public, members and non-members, on a daily basis.  The representative will process all aspects of registration and membership services, and answer phone and email inquiries.

Job Duties

Process and facilitate all aspects of registration and membership, including but not limited to:

o New and renewal memberships
o Transfer of ownership
o Foal registrations
o Driver, trainer and officials licensing
o Import and export applications
o New names and/or name changes
o Driving colors

• Answer questions, or trouble shoots issues, for members and non-members, requesting assistance with harness racing, Standardbred horses, sales, etc.
• Guide and assist members through online services, where applicable
• Direct incoming phone calls to other departments as appropriate

Qualifications/Requirements

• Knowledge of harness racing terms and language
• Excellent customer service skills, on phone and in person
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Detail orientation and accuracy
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional teamwork skills
• Punctuality is a must
• Excellent organization skills
• Good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Outlook and Word; data entry skills for Customer Management System and in-house PATICs software
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Professionalism

  • The position requires Ohio residency

 

Hours:  40 hours per week; Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (remote flexibility)
Location:  USTA Headquarters, Westerville, OH
